Yes — dogs are welcome Leashed dogs welcome on the main dunes, the Mosca Pass Trail and Medano Creek. Sand gets dangerously hot in summer - walk it early or late.

The tallest dunes in North America against the Sangre de Cristos - and unusually for a national park, dogs are welcome on the main dune field.
